Term 3 week 1

It is great to be back in Room 8 for Term 3. Everyone seems refreshed and excited to be back together.
We managed to pack quite a bit into the week - including meeting some of Mrs Reid's family. Sam, Kari, Otto and Theo Reid visited on Tuesday morning. Sam gave us a careers talk about being an Air Traffic Controller, and Kari talked to us about growing up in South Africa. Otto (aged 2) showed us some sign language.

We were able to see the Science Fair projects which the year 7 and 8 students completed over term 2 and the holidays. It was very interesting to see what they have discovered and to have the students explain their results to us. It gave us some ideas for when it's our turn!

We enjoyed a visit from Patch, Nathan's new rabbit. We conducted a wee experiment about animal behaviour, and we found that even when Nathan shifted places, Patch still found him in the circle and went to him. He's very cute!
