Week 1.
It is hard to believe a whole week has gone by already We survived the hot weather and have made a great start at getting to know each other and setting routines in the class.
This week we have been making coats of arms, or crests, to show what is important about each of us. We then presented these orally to the class.

We have also been looking at the Code of Care that we live by at Rosebank School and the 4 types of kindness - Caring Kind, Community Kind, Environment Kind and Achieving Kind.

We have made a start on Place Value in Maths; we have written stories about a dog who didn't want to have a bath (do NOT ask your child why Mrs Reid's dog needed a bath), we have had some interesting debates about holiday destinations, practiced for athletics and read a fascinating story from Japan about kindness and gratitude. We have also managed to keep busy on that wet wet lunch time.
Next week we will continue with our routines, setting up homework on Monday, more athletics training every day and preparation for our marae visit on the 14th.
