This week it was great to chat to parents and students about their goals for the year. It's always impressive to hear how in touch a lot of children are about their learning and the realistic goals they are able to set for themselves.
The room 8 students certainly are a stunning bunch.

Most of the coats of arms are finished and on the wall.

This week we did some drama around the proverbs and whakatauki that we have been looking at - "Too many cooks spoil the broth" and "Naku te rourou nau te rourou ka ora ai te iwi" "With your basket and my basket the people will live."

We also welcomed back Rosemary Johnston this week. Rosemary has been in Japan, but is able to spend several weeks with us before returning to Japan towards the end of the term.

Next week the big event is the trip to the Araiteuru marae on Wednesday, and also Room 8's assembly item on Thursday. Tune in next week for photos of these activities!
