Week 8

Last week you were able to follow a link to the first part of the Dragon Days production. Now, for your listening and viewing pleasure, I am able to offer you 3 separate links which should show you the whole thing.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

This week we had another science session with Mrs Weild where we learned about another kind of force - friction. We made rockets, then thought about how to make them aerodynamic to reduce the amount of friction.

Mrs Tofia returned to further our lessons on Samoan Culture. This week we learned how to scrape coconut and make coconut cream. We also made a start on our Tapa cloth.

There have been some cold lunchtimes  but there is always plenty to keep us occupied.

The student council ran an Olympic Games at lunchtime on Friday.

Next week the learning and fun continue!

Week 7

We did it - thanks to the amazing support and help of all the whanau. Dragon Days seems to have been appreciated by all who saw it - the cast and crew certainly enjoyed themselves - and the students have been left with a taste of how much fun theatre can be.
Follow this link for another showing of the year 4, 5 and 6 production 2018.

Dragon Days 2018

Of course we managed to keep up with most of our regular work, including our Friday sessions of Back Yard League with Josh.

We also had a great science lesson with Mrs Weild, where we learned about forces.

This week we will be learning about Samoan culture with Mrs Tofia, as well as our daily intake of all the basics!

Week 5

Half way through term 2 already and one and a half weeks until Dragon Days!
Rehearsals are going well and many of the characters have their costumes sorted.

Well done to all the Rippa teams who played well and displayed excellent sportsmanship on Tuesday. Especial congratulations to Lulu and Ashley M's team who won the year 5 and 6 draw and have qualified for the Otago event in Dunedin.

We are enjoying our hockey lessons with Julia every Monday. We have our final session with her next week.

What a lot of effort went into the creations for Wacky Hair Day on Friday. Very colourful and imaginative!

Last week of term 3

We are over half way! Our walk on Friday was lots of fun. We had 118 students, 15 adults and 3 dogs, and we all walked 8 km. That's a to...
